Adding a Centralized Exchange (CEX)

Providing liquidity through Centralized Exchanges (CEX) is an effective way to enhance market access for your investors. To ensure compliance and security, Tokeny maintains a curated list of authorized exchanges.

This article explains how to request the addition of a CEX to the authorized exchange list. If your preferred exchange is not currently available in the Servicing platform, follow the steps outlined below.

๐Ÿ” Process Overview

Adding a new CEX involves five key steps:

  1. Please introduce Tokeny (customers@tokeny.com) to your chosen CEX
  2. Tokeny will engage with the CEX
  3. Tokeny will perform due diligence on the CEX as part of our onboarding procedure
  4. Tokeny will collect the necessary materials and contact information from the CEX
  5. Tokeny will validate and add the CEX to the authorized exchange list

Detailed Steps

Step 1 โ€” Introduction

Please initiate the process by introducing via email the CEX partnership contact to the Tokeny Partnerships team: customers@tokeny.com.

Step 2 โ€” Initial Call with the CEX

The Tokeny team will schedule a call with the CEX representative.

The goal of this call is to:

  1. Present the Tokeny Servicing platform and its integration model
  2. Confirm compatibility
  3. Discuss operating model of the CEX (omnibus or segregated wallets, blockchain network private or public, EVM or non EVMโ€ฆ)
  4. Gather preliminary compliance information

Step 3 โ€” KYB Onboarding Procedure

Tokeny will request that the CEX completes the KYB (Know Your Business) onboarding process.

The CEX must provide all required documentation (legal entity details, registration documents, beneficial ownership, proof of licence to list security tokens etc...) in line with Tokenyโ€™s compliance standards.

Step 4 โ€” Information & Branding Assets

Tokeny will ask the CEX to provide:

  • Official logo (PNG/SVG preferred)
  • Website URL
  • Commercial name (as it should appear in the app)

These assets will be used on both the Servicing platform and the Investor App.

Step 5 โ€” Validation & Listing

Once the CEX has successfully passed the KYB review, the Tokeny Partnerships and Product teams will validate the addition.

The CEX will then be added to the authorized CEX list in the Servicing platform.

Once available, you will be able to enable the CEX from your Servicing platform interface, making it visible in the Investor App for your investors.
